It has been higher, (as recently as 2017). But I've never seen the water flowing into it as fast as it is now, nor Mud Lake so full.

The other thing, is I've never seen is the numerous small springs flowing into the lake from the beaches. Went on a walk for about a mile along the east side and we counted like ten springs flowing into the lake, and this is the dry east side.

The water was also the smoothest I've ever seen it on memorial day. Felt good to swim in, just like Lake Superior.
