teacher swears. A couple of other kids respond by saying it's cool swearing is allowed in class and they let some fly. Finally, the kid who probably hasn't ever audibly sworn in his life lets one fly, laughs, and looks around like he's part of the cool kids crowd.

Obviously, fans in the Big XII footprint (and people in general) drink more than people in Provo. But they don't flaunt it the way Utah fans do. "Look at us. We drink too. Ha huh." And it doesn't define them the way it does for Utah fans. For most people outside of Utah, drinking is like eating chips and salsa. They may talk about enjoying it. And they like some alcohol better than other alcohol. But it's like appreciating good salsa as opposed to average salsa. And it's an accent to the entertainment and enjoyment. It isn't who they are.
