With all due respect to our UU friends, I stand corrected. BY corrected my understanding of the Big12's criteria for conference expansion: "At the top is the academic alignment and the leadership and the cultural fit and the geography and the athletic performance and the upside that a potential institution has as they would potentially join the Big 12." - Academic alignment
- Cultural fit
- Geography
- Athletic performance
- Upside potential

The above are in addition to the already-established criteria of:

- Additive
- New markets
- Pacific time zone

Unfortunately, for UU, while a #105 academic ranking is admirable, your woke, LDS-hating culture, proximity to BYU, curtain-loving basketball, and absence of upside potential, when added to your failure to meet any of the original criteria of additive, new markets, and being located in the Pacific Time Zone, will work against you and keep you in the PACMtnWest Conference. But, we do wish you all the best!
