I wish I had better news for you. My wife was born and raised here. She wants to leave. In a bad way.
We’ve been here since 2006. It’s okay. Better than Phoenix, but worse than almost anywhere else.
Cons:
Summers are blistering hot
Schools are pretty crappy
Politics are worsening by the day
There are actually a lot of family things to do, most of them are insanely expensive.
Did I mention the summers?
Pros:
Tons of great places to eat (on and off strip)
Booming sports town and lots of good shows
Traffic is usually easy. Even Rush Hour is easy

The exodus of members of the church further and further west over the last 15 years has been interesting
