Yes. Since 1971 workers have been falling farther and farther behind
They have captured very little of the benefit from productivity gains.

And now productivity gains are starting to lag. A lot because workers realize it does nothing for them so they aren't committed to implementing new stuff well, or looking for innovations and improvements.
