This is based on an assumption that he did something to decrease the odds of BYU winning against ASU.
There is a line where you use bitterness as motivation. It definitely works, you want to prove others wrong. It motivates you. I think it is part of being competitve. Not all of it.
I don't know Crew but from what I have read is that this fuels him, definitely works, he has beaten the odds twice and is probably tired of proving himself. Frustrating for sure.
If he left because of that, 100% ok with that reason and his angst against the program. Not the best energy to carry with you during your life but it has worked and he'll keep feeding that beast until it doesn't work.
Where I do have a serious question, is about his character, if he was actively trying to hurt BYU. He wants everyone to feel his pain not just him. To me, that is dangerous. I hesitate to be around people like that because I don't trust them. What if I cross them, are they going to try to destroy me? Actively work against me? If he thinks that helping BYU lose is going to feel better he's wrong. Dead wrong. That's a hole that can't be filled. That's a small mind thinking.
I'm going to throw the Leavitts in there as well with this type of thinking, good athletes but they seem bitter and won't let go. At least it appears that way.
I wish Crew the best, sort of, not sure I would want him on my team or as an employee, it's all about him and what he thinks he deserves. If he doesn't get it...he'll actively try to hurt others. Not good.
