It's a shame that Arizona had a rough few games during their non-conference games because they are a really good team. I feel like Caleb Love has been around forever. He's tough to guard and hides on defense. Arizona shot the lights out and played some good defense to end the game. Tommy Lloyd is a dang good coach and he had a very good game plan against BYU.
Dallin Hall was back to Dallin Hall things. 6 assists and 1 turnover. Attacking the hoop and dishing the ball. He's fun to watch when he's playing like that. Hall's GameScore of 11.8 was the best of the conference games so far and his 2nd best game of the year (Florida A&M was his best).
The rest of the team was just mediocre. I would have like to see Baker with a few more offensive possessions to see if he could have scored the ball a little more.
It was almost like the Arizona game plan was for Demin to dribble around and get to the hoop. Arizona didn't want him to pass and find open shooters at the 3 point line. Demin took advantage of it a little bit here and there but the ball didn't go in the hoop enough. Demin had 25 possessions at 0.63 pts/poss. That's rough.
I think BYU is a good team but not top 4 in the conference good. I just hope they're good enough to get in the Big Dance.
(Arizona at home. I love being in the Big12!)
Go Cougs!!!
