Update for CB on Mounjaro/Ozempic prices
I started prescribing some of these for my patients with elevated BMI who needed to lose weight prior to joint replacement.

I first went through their insurance. I had a patient with BMI 36, moderate sleep apnea, and good insurance. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) would cost her over $1000 a month.

We contacted a couple local compound pharmacies and we can prescribe either the tirzepatide or the semaglutide (Ozempic) for $200 per month (or a little more depending on the dose).

Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone is thinking about these medicines but they are worried about the costs.
