As most of you know i worked in the athletic department at UVU and have heard some encouraging news about a potential football team. If some teams leave the MWC, the MWC will be inclined to take some WAC teams. The WAC has sent notice that if they expanded or were to lose teams they would consider UVU if they were to add a football team. The new president at UVU is for a football. Title IX would not be an issue because of how the track teams are set up. The only problem i see, and this was the problem when i was there. Is that they would need roughly 3 million in private donations to get the team off the ground. I dont know if it would ever happen but as a UVSC alum i would love to see a football team there.
