Angels' 3 problems & Solutions:
Problem 1: Right-handed middle-inning reliever. The Angels need one. I would have liked to see them go after one of the many cheap righties on the market. I still think they could go after Jason Isringhausen. Also, heard a good report on Jepsen. he could be an in-house solution if he can rebound after a terrible year last year.

Problem 2: Little production from 3b. Sure Callaspo gets on base, but he doesn't produce runs. The Angels need to upgrade 3b and get more offensive firepower here. Trumbo won't be able to do the job defensively at third. I've seen him try the position, and I have serious doubts.

Problem 3: Trout needs to be on the field.

Solution 1: Trade Bobby Abreu for an in-n-out double double and pick up all but $2m of his salary. use that on Isringhausen.

Solution 2: Offer Callaspo/Trumbo/Minor League Pitcher for David Wright of Mets. Offensive upgrade. Slight defensive downgrade, but we would be fine on defense still and have a killer offense.

Solution 3: Make Wells the DH, platooning with Morales. Wells against lefties, Morales against righties. They could be a killer DH combo. Trout starts is left.

Potential lineup:
Trout
Kendrick
Pujols
Morales
Wright
Hunter
Ianetta
Aybar
Bourjos

Solid.
