We need to see if Trumbo's foot heals too
Right now he is only taking ground balls every other day at third base. He is not cleared to take grounders everyday which will hinder his progress.
The bottom line is that Alfredo Griffin is a mastermind at training infielders. Since he has been there he has developed all the infielders into well above average defenders: Kennedy, Kendrick, Aybar, Eckstein, Figgins, etc. Even Kendrys and Trumbo were better at first than expected. He will play a big part in the process.
