My understanding
My parents live out east and there is a guy in their ward that owns some Five Guys franchises and it came up once that there would be a huge demand in Utah, and the guy agreed. However, he said he had looked into it once and opening a Panera franchise is a huge investment, almost 4 x that of opening a new Five Guys. I am still convinced that whoever opens the Panera first out here is going to be printing money.
