fairly long street, going from the Presidio to the Embarcadero. Most people approach the crooked part from Van Ness Avenue and drive up Lombard. That way is very steep and in a stick is very scary (did it once in my friends car, about burned up her clutch).

If you go up Greenwich or Chesnutt (don't know about any one-way streets around there), it's not as steep and not as busy.
