The networks that own the rights to the conference's games don't want to be found in breach of contract. That will not only cost them money, but they will be out recourse when the MWC does whatever its planning to get out of the TV deal. So dog (mtn tv network) is shot and the MWC games are used to increase the programming on other channels that are growing at this point. The networks aren't in breach of contract, and the ball is now in the MWC's court whether it wants to go ahead with the alliance or re-form the conference and redo the broadcasting rights, probably even making a futile pitch to BSU and SDSU not to sell themselves out to the Big East.
