Those are catch words to describe emotionally based aggression

which is necessary if you are going to play in the trenches. Keeping a cool head does not mean you do not play with emotion. I can be "mean" and still focus, pay attention to my surroundings and adjust and adapt. Being nasty in this context is not uncontrolled rage spent in 90 seconds of adrenaline rush.
