a game, maybe when we won the MWC, I was mid court, second row, in front of the old student section. Right before the game got over, of course the average age of 67 year old BYU "police" officers lined the court in front of us to make sure all the crazy kids in the student section didn't storm the court and maim numerous players. Game got over, students did start getting on the court, quite a few of them actually but one of the policeman had his eye on one student trying to find a break in their line to get out on the court. As soon as he tried, this policeman actually took the kid to the ground, body slamming him, to make sure he didn't enter the hallowed court of the MC (though by that time there were probably 50 plus students out there celebrating! Tom Holmoe came right over and asked me what happened and I told him the guy is an embarrassment to BYU police, was way out of line and should be fired for almost giving this kid a concussion!

Other story is when I was on the sidelines of the BYU/Utah game (when we lost in OT about 7 or 8 years ago maybe). Horrible no call by the clown MWC official (Harline was completely held and couldn't get to the ball). I yelled at the ref asking him how he couldn't see Harline's jersey being pulled. BYU policeman came over and said that if I said one more word, I would be taken not only off the sideline but kicked out of LES! So much for home field advantage!
