I did qualify my statement with “basically.” With NIL, players will have the
same mindset as typical employees, whether they are employed directly by the school or not.
I agree that the players should be classified as employees and allowed to unionize so they can engage in collective bargaining. If they are unionized employees then we can finally bring some structure and sanity to this insanity.
