My theory about this season is that the staff isn’t really trying to bring in
high profile OL because it saves NIL and also frees up 3 or 4 spots on the o- line for 2025, so they can land a few of the high profile OL players in the 2025 recruiting class. They want to get players on the field early so they can play them for 2 to 4 years together and have continuity.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are 4 FR / RS FR starting on the o- line next season.

Same for QB, the QBs on the roster are just a stop gap until they can bring in a high profile QB from the 2026 class, which has several QBs that BYU has a good chance with. They want that QB to play right away as a freshman or RS FR.

2026 is when I expect to start seeing BYU moving up the B12 standings. There will young talented players on both sides of the ball for BYU in 26 and 27. They need to keep improving the traditional recruiting.
