I'm not sure what would happen with the Maverick Center, but with the new Bees' Ballpark being built in Daybreak it may be a smart move to put a minor league hockey rink next door to have year round activities in the area. The other option would be to build a minor league rink in Provo and perhaps it would incentivize BYU to sponsor D1 Men's Hockey. I'm sure Smith would be thrilled and adding college hockey as an option for youth in Utah it would only continue the popularity of the sport with new local opportunities.
