They want a percent of revenue. Not a percent of profits
Nba doesn't do profit sharing but revenue sharing. Nba teams actually don't make much money and many lose money too.
Not saying they should get the same % of revenue. When the pie is much smaller. Fixed operating costs probably make up a much higher percentage.
