BYU has found that if missionaries return home for anxiety or other emotional issues they will struggle at BYU. They returning missionary will have more success if he comes home and gets help for his emotional/mental health issues before getting into the fray at BYU. I guess you could say it is similar to letting a football player heal before you get him in the game again.
