I find it interesting that Utah means "mountain place" for the Ute tribe
"Uta"means the exact same thing in Samoan and in Hawaiian it is "uka"...meaning mountain area or inland. Just a random tidbit I find interesting, perhaps to further strengthen the ties between Native Americans and Polynesians (Hagoth theory)...or it is most likely purely coincidental given how far north the Ute tribe is. Wondering if any other Native American tribe uses the same term in the same way.
