they've tried to spin the whole thing into adversity that the football team and fans have to overcome, as though it's them against the world. The systematic rape of children is minimized; as far as Penn State is concerned, it's the fans and team (and Paterno's reputation) that are truly suffering.

I agree completely, I can never look at Penn State the same way again. They are deplorable.
