Breaking this down gave me a much greater appreciation for our team, particularly the OL; I hope it will for you as well.
:44 Hill makes excellent decision to run as receivers covered.
:49 albeit UConn only rushes 3, good containment blocking by OL
1:06 good block by Wesley that springs Hill for 1st down
1:09 same play Leslie pursues play and makes block
1:15 nice run blocking by OL that springs Lasike for nice gain
1:24 nice pass blocking by OL (particularly Wesley); Kamoma lets his man through but Hill gets pass off
1:27 result: nice pass gain to Algie Brown
1:36 nice swing out to Houk
1:41 impressed with Wesley's blocking
1:57 Mitch Matthews looks great
2:02 like the play variety from Anae; love to see him mixing it up
2:09 great OL blocking, particularly Wesley (57)
2:42 Douyere makes great play, but Bills in there as well and great pursuit by Fua and others and, of course, Kafusi who makes recovery
2:56 nice play that left UConn's linebackers with no one to cover as both backs stayed back to block
3:13 Kafusi gets into backfield and pressures quarterback; also Rowley beats his man from left end. This brings up something interesting about Kafusi. If you notice he is very aggressive but often overshoots the quarterback; he needs to throw in some spin moves that will bounce him off his blocker to the inside where he'll end up right in the quaterback's face
3:34 again great blocking by the OL that springs Hill for nice gain; also, Lasike makes nice downfield block
3:41 nice pursuit and tackle by Leavitt
3:45 nice pass coverage by linebackers
3:49-57 again, nice pass blocking by OL and nice catch and run by Juergens
4:01 Lasike originally misses hole which decreases amount of yardage that could have been gained; nice downfield blocking by Mahina
4:15 again, nice positioning for Matthews, good OL pass protection
4:21 backs stay back to block, nice underneath positioning by Leslie
4:31 this is all Taysom as blocking from Mahina, Wesley and Algie breaks down
4:37 Fua makes run at quaterback but overruns him; again, some spin moves thrown in could remedy this
4:40 example of Davis' closing speed
4:45 great OL pass blocking on designed play where UConn linebacker bites and Algie out in flat for nice gain
4:55 again, nice OL and Lasike run blocking; Algie hits hole perfectly for nice gain
5:06-09 great OL and Leslie blocking and beautifully designed play with counter-direction swing pass to Hine for TD
5:24 nice OL and Lasike lead block that springs Hill for nice gain; Taysom reads holes like a running back
5:29 again, nice OL blocking
5:41 great blocking gives Hill time to choose between several open receivers
5:50 good blocking by Wesley, Kearsley and Kyle Johnson makes this play; Karoma lets his man through and Fusi late picking him up, but pass already to Pearson
5:55 well designed play with fake to Algie and swing shuttle pass to Lasike
6:05 Hill has open receivers but delays; Alletto lets his man through but Hill makes nice recovery and with good Fusi blocks finds open Houk who makes fantastic play with nice Matthews block for TD
6:26 nice rush from Rowley and Peck, but again they overshoot QB, let's teach DL and Linebackers some spin moves!
6:29 nice open-field tackle by Alisa (?)
6:31-36 good push from DL and tackle by Kafusi who went inside; also good pursuit by Povey
6:52 Fua and Tuiloma(? - great closing speed) weren't faked by fake field goal; nice job
6:54 Logan Taele lets his man through but fake to Hine compensates
7:13 nice protection from OL
7:43 nice coverage by Leavitt
8:07 great vision and read by Bills coming from safety to make tackle at line of scrimmage
8:13 good pursuit by Povey
8:17 nice play by Alisa with Kafusi in pursuit
8:29 again, Davis with great closing speed; one of these times he'll get a pick 6
8:33 Alletto lets his man through, but Hill gets the pass off to Hine for nice gain
8:41 Kafusi overruns but Heder makes nice pursuit tackle
8:49 nice pass coverage by Davis
8:56 Preator nice breakup
9:01 Taele almost gets to QB; with a little work has lot of potential
9:02 another beautiful breakup by Preator
9:30 again, great OL pass protection
9:33 Pearson was in on more catches than I originally thought
9:41 great to see Anae calling a lot more catches out of the backfield
9:50 Hill runs better than a lot of running backs - tenacious
10:14 great lateral pursuit by Kafusi, Preator, Povay and Alisa(?)
10:19 nice breakup by Heder
Watching this brought me a lot more respect for the OL; the DL did a nice job as well considering they were double-teamed constantly. When this happens it falls on the linebackers to make plays.
