on long. He just wasn't ready for a major role at the D1 level, & we really needed a second scorer & shooter to step up & claim that role.
While I never bashed Skyler, I honestly didn't see him working his way into a major role this season. He just seemed too small, weak, & not quite innovative & skilled enough to make the necessary adjustments.
He proved me wrong too. Way wrong. I had him pegged as yet another low-lier JC pickup typical of Rose. And maybe he WAS that--but no more.
