Even if he beats out Hoge for 3rd string, he still wouldn't be on track to start until his senior year. I'd be fine if he were to decide to transfer to BYU because having the added QB depth isn't a bad thing, but he'd likely be buried on the depth chart here at BYU as well which makes me think him transferring here is unlikely.
