I'm not the best at Sabbath Day Holy stuff. Don't use me as an example for it. But I'm an individual, not an organization. And I've never said that I was or should be an example. I'm not teaching the ideal.
To me, some of the other "doctrine" changes have made sense in light of either a need to follow the law of the land (polygamy) or further revelation and a lack of understanding (Blacks and the priesthood).
But making Sunday play a part of contract negotiations for BYU to join a conference is on a whole different level. And, quite frankly, would tend to demonstrate more than in the past that changes are influenced by convenience and the all mighty dollar. I think that would change my perspective of what the church is quite a bit, to be honest.
