Yes, Boise has had a great run and is building a brand. That still doesn't
address the elephant in the room...and this is simple cause and effect logic:

1) The MWC is rightly recognized as a G5 conference,
2) Boise State has chosen to be a member of the MWC and play 8 games per year against MWC opponents,
3) The MWC WILL NEVER be recognized as P5-level competition by the P5 conferences,
4) By hitching its wagon to the MWC, Boise State is accepting its designation as a G5 opponent.
5) If Boise State wants to be recognized as a P5-level program for the purposes of P5 members scheduling games against Boise State, the solution is clear: Join a P5 conference or go independent (like BYU) and build toward a P5-caliber schedule.

Regardless of how great a program Boise State has been or is, as long as it is affiliated with the MWC, it will retain its G5 status.
