was frustrated BYU fans were happy with 37 points in a D League game. Saying its "Like being happy BYU beat Wagner"
Well, clearly The New York Post and Dan Patrick disagree. If Jimmer shows up, first D League game and drops 37 then clearly he can ball and there is a legit reason for the national media to take notice. Obviously, it was just one game. Hopefully he keeps dominating the D League. He may be a very rare case where he will be at the top of The D League but no NBA team has a spot for him. But bottom line is its a great story, it's entertainment and I'm stoked for Jimmer.
Probably the most impressive thing about what happened was that he spent years on the bench in Sac. Then a quick stint with Chicago, then a year on the bench in NOLA. Then waived by the Spurs, another 1-2 games of NOLA mostly on the bench. Then shows up to the D league and does that. I'm amazed that all those frustrating years didn't break his confidence or motivation and that without a lot of game experience he didn't let his skills drop off at all. Just amazing.
