Yep, I'm all for credit card rewards and manufactured spend, but all the good
ways get shut down pretty quickly (as you mentioned)
Just trying to say that its a little more complicated than trading $450 for $1000 for people that don't already spend $4000 in a 3 month period (on credit card purchases).
Rewards aren't worth it, if you are simply increasing your spending in order to get more free stuff.
Kinda similar to the whole "I had to buy it cause it was 50% off. So I saved a bunch!" Its only true if you were going to buy the object whether it was 50% off or not
