The Qb handles the ball more than any other player. This is why QBs are at such a premium in the NFL. Wins and losses are tied to QBs. So while Cody's right in the sense that it's not just Taysom, QBs have a disproportional effect on the outcome of the game because of their touches and decision making. Additionally, having another excellent QB behind him warrants us to see how he would do. I'm not saying Tanner would be better, but with such a quality backup why does Taysom get treated differently than other players? (for example Wilcox; Lake jumped over him in the depth chart and rightly so. Almond too lost his spot after a missed Extra pt.)
I love Taysom. At his peak, he was like watching Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson (and I'll always think of him that way), but the injuries, the new offense, and his wr group are exacerbating the little weaknesses that his athleticism more than made up for in the past.
