Things aren't worse, things are definitely better in the way BYU has
evolved in its treating of its own LGBT students. This is a shift that will take a generation to change the internal thinking at BYU and in the church before we see more "common ground" with the other side.
It's may appear slow day to day, but if you look back at 20 or 5-10 years ago the shift are quite dramatic. One more generation and it will shift even more.
