I don't know anything about practices now but I observed several under Bronco
and I do think it was mostly about discipline. I never really thought they looked like they were working all that hard. Especially the Offensive lineman. My husband and I used to laugh about it because their practices were really light.
One of the big things I noticed is Bronco would have a ball attached to a stick and have people line up and when he moved it, they could move. If you moved before, everyone had to do some sort of killer drill. Seemed to be a lot about discipline.
