game woes are going to be largely fixed going forward because we actually have a featured back that we can reliably churn out 4 and 5 yards. We don't need to be world-beaters in the run game, but we need enough to force the defense to commit resources to stopping the run. I think we're going to see good improvement as the season goes on, even taking into account the level of competition. Losing Tanner was a bummer that was bound to slow down progress, but Hoge did some nice things.
