Scott Runia was the established starter at the point when Ainge came. Runia wasn't a scorer but he ran the offense very well and was a 4 year starter at BYU. After that it was Steve Craig who usually brought the ball up the court. Watch old games on BYUTV and you'll see Ainge didn't usually bring the ball up the court and set up as the PG.
