I can tell you that Pope didn't dream from childhood of coaching BYU. I grew up
as a BYU fan and don't recall having any friends (even amongst fellow BYU fans) who dreamed of being the BYU coach when they grew up, although it would be a cool job.

Drew Scott already set that example. Wonder if Pope would follow it. I doubt it but BYU is not Baylor.
