This is just the way it is and will be until something changes. Every agent of every player is encouraging their player to enter the portal. There is no downside. You get to check your market value, interest from other teams, potential for a larger role elsewhere, etc. If nothing pans out, head back to your school. Look at Arkansas, Calipari gets hired and first remark is "I met with the team, there is no team". Even teh best players at big programs are going into the portal for all the same reasons.

Outside of maybe Hall, I expect Saunders, probably Aly and any others to be back. I think there is more to the Hall story.
