I don't know him or his resume that well, but from first glance it doesn't seem to be markedly better or more compelling than Burgess or Peery (as examples).
There's also the question of religious affiliation. While I think it would be a positive to demonstrate we can have a non-LDS coach, I'm relatively sure the university prefers an LDS coach if all things are fairly close (as would be the case with Fuegar, Burgess, Peery or others)
I'm absolutely open to hearing why Fuegar is better than the others (to include Young who is everyone's current favorite, but I didn't list above because their resumes aren't as directly comparable), I just don't necessarily see it yet from my admittedly limited perspective
