Certainly the coach is a huge factor but your entire life for several years is going to be impacted by much more than the coach. Just seems like you would want to meet the coach first unless there was a deadline or something making that impossible. Chandler is obviously dedicated to the faith. He was comfortable with all the rest of what BYU offers. Seems reasonable to wonder why he didn't hear KY out.
