- Davis is or is near a Top 100 recruit for his class, but he didn't have a lot of P5 offers. There could be many reasons for that.
- Most people on here were excited to have him on the team because he was committed to the school and program, and he showed great athleticism and potential upside in his film.
- It's rumored that KY communicated to him and his family that his style of play did not fit in well with the system KY planned to bring to BYU, and that he may want to look for a program and system that best fit his strengths.
- Many people cope with and rationalize the loss of a player, whatever the reason, by downplaying their skill level or potential impact to the program because, frankly, it hurts to lose players we were excited to see play, whatever the reason for the loss.
