late hit that I thought was going to get flagged so I yelled something like, "Stop it, you stupid idiot!" and my poor kid thought I was yelling at him because he was in the next room.

To be fair, he was playing with my wife's tablet without permission so it was his own guilty conscience that made him think I was talking to him. Still, I've never attacked him like that before so it really hurt his feelings.
