Perhaps but I feel the biggest issue is time
A BYU game experience, with traffic is a minimum 6 hour affair, likely longer. It seems those with time don't have much money and that those with money don't have the time. When one stays home it is easy to turn off the TV and do something else, or to be doing something else and then turn on the TV. Going to a game requires one to make both a time commitment and a financial commitment.

If BYU added amenities I would recommend they reduce total seating. Better to reward the few who do attend with a fantastic experience than to cater to the mass market and dilute the experience. This is what the NFL and MLB have done with newer stadiums - fewer but better seats.
