heckuva defensive coordinator. He took over a once proud program that had been dragged down after its legendary coach left. He pulled the program out of the mire and brought it back to a more prominent position in the NCAA landscape, but still didn't reach the pinnacle. In the last 4+ seasons, the program has regressed and then plateaued under his leadership. It is now at a flat line of mediocrity. He has made at least 3 horrible coordinator hires. He had the Riley years. He routinely blames the players for losses.

He's a good man who did a lot for the program early on. He should get a lot of credit for what he has done. Likewise, he should get the blame for where it's at currently. The program is now stagnant and inbred, virtually devoid of outside thought. The program is in a very tenuous & vulnerable position right now. It's time for someone else to lead the program.
