I feel in general, the sport world has come to expect results too fast from coaches. That's why you see so many big time programs that are dumpster fires right now. The new coach is given 2 or maybe 3 years and if he can't win then he is gone. Take a look at Coach K's first three years at Duke. In today's world, he would have been out of a job after his 3rd season.
