I guess on a deeper level, everything does that. We have beliefs and views on the world. We mostly choose to consume things that we agree with... and evidence supporting our theory is celebrated, anything against it is tossed out.

Global warming is a perfect example.

CB is almost a better example. Anyone making a good point about your opinion on here is celebrated as smart. Anyone making a good point about the opposite opinion is ridiculed, even though it's a good point.
