Poppinga also likes what he is seeing from freshman Rhett Sandlin, a recently returned LDS missionary who has come in and picked up things quickly.
"In the last three or four practices, he's shown me things that indicate he might be able to help us this fall," Poppinga said.

If he can be the fourth guy, then we won't be a disaster out there

I think he's already the 5th guy in the rotation

Un-whew. Could a partial tear be the source of confusion?

Maybe. He did say that it won't need surgery and should be 100% this summer.

If that's true then it's a partial tear at worst.

Or you don't know anything about knee injuries. MCL sprains almost never require

I agree that sprains don't need surgery. Never heard of one needing surgery.

Whats the difference between a sprain and a tear?

Technically wrubell is still right.

I don't think it's a complete tear though. Would need surgery to reattach it.

depends on how each end is aligned

Is depth really an issue? Just move more DEs or tackles or WRs...e.g, Bronco fix

MCL's are weird. THey can tear - completly - and then heal on their own.
