How about this?

"Sliders
Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah, DE, BYU: Ansah is one of the most physically gifted players in this draft class, but he showed this week that he still has a lot of developing to do. During pass-rush periods, he repeatedly tried to work through the numbers of the offensive tackle, but his bull rush was rarely effective. He flashed one inside-spin move, but otherwise was predictable and unsuccessful in his pass-rushing attempts. Some teams are concerned with what transpired this week, while others are still bullish on the incredible upside of the BYU defender."

You see a couple of splash plays and think you know what your seeing. But talk to the guys on the team, Ziggy was all over the place...he was getting there fast...just not where he was supposed to be.

Ziggy was getting starter reps...but at different positions and all basically with limited responsibility because he simply didn't have technique and/or understanding of the scheme. At the Senior Bowl game, Schwartz just stuck him out 9 wide and told him to tackle the ball. You can do that at an all star game because the coaches have the players for less than a week. There are no schemes. Everything is vanilla. So after looking very, very bad all week...Ziggy looked great in the game. Well...who cares who wins the Senior Bowl...but I'll bet you care who wins when BYU is playing. So Ziggy got reps. He got plenty of reps. He just didn't get the keys to the kingdom until injury made it the best option. Fortunately, he'd gotten a bit more seasoned by then...and they had a chance to adjust the scheme to compensate for what he didn't know...and he did pretty well. Not gangbusters...but he did pretty well...on sheer athleticism.

Bronco's ability to coach D is rarely questioned...and his schemes are complex. They do require players being assignment sound. Ziggy wasn't. He was a very athletic bull in a china shop.

You do recall that before his senior season, Bronco said he would be a first round pick. (Gasp! Bronco was talking a player up!) Why did he think Ziggy would be a first round pick...because of raw athleticism. NFL teams can have patience when the upside allows...but that doesn't mean they are going to lose games while they develop. Bronco had the same responsibility. Ziggy was on paper behind a 4 year starter...who was assignment sound.

Bronco dealt with the same issues Schwartz did at the Senior Bowl. Ziggy was raw. He's still raw. But he's seasoned enough that the Lions start him now. But they didn't start him day 1...
