I could well be that Harsin was so vanilla because they weren't capable of running much else. BSU had a QB battle that stretched late into camp.
Boise is well coached. BYU has been circled right behind UW, perhaps even ahead of them, on the Bronco calendar. Harsin will come with wrinkles BYU did not see last night, but there's a legitimate question of how much more Boise St. can actually execute.
We can't give up knock out blows on big plays on either end. If our run D proves stout and we can get some kind of pressure on their QB, change up coverages to confuse him, etc., BYU has a great shot. We'll be in trouble if we allow Boise to play a grind-it-out, conservative running attack while hitting the occasional big play.
