Maybe that is the wrong choice of word, but to say he hasn't struggled in recent weeks is just kidding yourself. He even has admitted himself that is has dealt with some accuracy issues and hammy issues. If Fresno would have had a halfway competent secondary they would have had two interceptions (one ball thrown hit a DB directly in the chest which probably would have been a pick six and one sailed way over the intended receiver and the DB behind the intended receiver was slow to react).
I'm not saying that Tanner is terrible. That is totally blowing things out of proportion. In fact, he is going to be a great quarterback and has had a pretty great year considering his whole situation. But he has had his struggles and that should be expected out of a freshman. But just looking at straight numbers from the first 5 games compared to the last 5 doesn't tell the whole story at all. I think the regression argument comes from the SJSU, Missouri and first half of the Fresno State games.
