When she was 8 months old, I too gave her a blessing of release.
The team had said they could do no more for her and to take her home to die in peace.
During the blessing, I felt prompted to say that the choice was hers - she could go home or if she wanted to stay we as her parents would do all that we could to make her life a joy and do all that she wanted.
I wonder if the reason we feel that she isn't ready or gone yet is because that blessing may still be in force. Ultimately it is her choice, I know that for certain.
